Just popping outback for a few weeks



Smasher is heading off to the antipodes for a few weeks and I suspect I won't have time, energy or desire to blog while I'm there so tune in again towards the end of the month.

I was very tempted instead to go to the virtual world youth experience organised by the virtual director of youth faith in Twinbrook, which is virtually in Glengormley, or so I am told.  Then I discovered the virtual pope will be Donal Mc K, selected after his powerful performance at the GAA sponsored midnight Mass from Australia last year.

So the real thing for me.

1 - As a serious point, Smasher - a lot of what you say is thought-provoking and, as such, makes a real contribution. But the nameing of names, especially in the reader contributions section, gives a platform for innuendo and detraction which, I think, opens the way for the unprincipled and the vicious to carry on campaigns or pursue grudges. It also weakens your site and its message - behind the mad-cap humour, one of reform and challenging vested interests. Please consider introducing some sort of moderation which deletes the names of those mentioned in the comments and protects them, those who care for them and their families from personal hurt. (Comment this)
